Webcam
I like having the builtin webcam. It makes it easy to video chat with family across the country and let them all see our little girl instead of having to just share pictures or making them come out here to visit us (a long ways away). The only thing I don’t like about is the lack of a manual focus feature. Auto focus is nice unless you want to focus on something else, then it’s not so great.
Biometric Fingerprint Scanner
This is AWESOME. Take alot of scans for your fingers because it’s not the highest quality scanner on the market (builtin). I had wanted to install fingerprint scanners on all the doors (about $150 per door handle), connected back to a central server that stores all the info of comings and goings but my wife nixed that idea. Basically,you assign your username and password to your fingers. This works well until you change your password, then you have to change it in the fingerprint program too. Remember that.
Sound
The speakers aren’t that great, I’ll admit. Plus my left speaker conked out after3 months and now it crackles. So I can’t give it good marks on sound quality.
Ports
There are only 2 USB ports (it’s a small laptop), one VGA video out, but it does have an external SATA connection and and builtin card reader.
