Looks like I’m going to start off my first ever blog post with a rant. :)
I always enjoy the annual visit from our Dell rep. She’s open to feedback, but probably wishes I didn’t share mine so freely at times. I’m passionate about Dell’s products. Fortunately our rep is open to hearing both the good and bad, and even though my concerns and ideas are a small brush stroke on a much larger canvas, they’re almost always escalated. (Or she just puts on a good front, j/k.)
Blog editors that come with many blog platforms can be small and cramped with everything fit onto a small portion of a web page. If you tend to write long entries or include a lot of media, a desktop tool might be more convenient. Recently Microsoft has updated its Windows Live Writer (WLR) blog editor. This is a free, downloadable editor with a full set of editing tools. It will also save drafts of your entries on your local system.
I’ve been thinking about and tinkering on a movie database project for the last couple of years now. I want something that can catalog and display my movies, all the relevant information, movie posters, and also allow me to play digital copies of each movie.
