View the synth. Do I really need to say how cool that is? It’s not perfect, only 87% synthy. But I took 141 pictures to make it. “Synthy” basically means how well the pictures match together. So out of that 141 pictures there are a few that don’t really match anything at all so they’re kind of left out of the synth view. Photosynth was developed by Microsoft Live Labs. I’d go to the webset and just look at all the cool things you can do with this. There are some stipulations on how you can use it (it’s free if you leave everything as public, but you get limited when you make things private), but it’s definitely worth trying.

About: I was born in Maine, and I’ll be a Maniac til I die. I’ve lived in several states, been in several countries, and lived outside the US so far (I’m not thirty yet). Right now I live in Kansas with my wife, Jana, and our four month old daughter, Bailey. I have a degree in Information Systems Technology from Penn State University and another degree in Computer Information Systems from Central Pennsylvania College. I started as a history major at the University of Central Florida but found that very very boring. So now I’m working at the Wichita State University here in Kansas doing what I love to do – expanding my computer horizons and deciding which of my 5 monitors I should work on next.See Authors Posts (11) and posted on 2009-08-26 @ 14:20:23-0400 and filed under Web.
