I just downloaded and started using some software called Enso. This is some really interesting software. Enso takes over your CAPS LOCK key and actually puts it to good use. Now most of us don’t use the CAPS LOCK key much at all (and for those of you that do, Enso lets you change the control key to a different one), but Enso lets us use it to run commands from the keyboard. For example, let’s say you want to make a sentence all upper-case. You would normally highlight the sentence, then grab the mouse and move it up to the toolbar and select the “Change Case” button, then select the “UPPERCASE” function. With enso, you highlight the sentence, then press the caps lock key and type “upper” and you’ll see the word “upper case” appear. then you just release the caps lock key and the sentence is highlighted.
The Enso website is great. They offer a lot of little tutorial videos on how to best utilize their software (which I highly recommend watching and following along with), and everything is clean and easy to find. Below you’ll see the main Enso tour that they offer (posted on YouTube). You can download the two Enso products (Launcher and Words) from their website.
